The Semester

Reconnect with your body using the Pilates method so you feel calm and strong with every move you make.

What is it?

Joe Pilates’ philosophy was that we should do fitness to be better in all of your movement - that’s the framework for The Semester. This isn’t another weight-loss program or a 90-day challenge. The Semester is designed to build a solid movement foundation that you can turn back to for the rest of your life.

I’ll help you understand what your body is telling you and give you workouts that don’t build on the stress from your day, but which actually help you let everything go, while still building strength and stamina. During the program, you'll work with me at the studio or online up to 3 times a week over 3 or 4 months. Our aim will be to strengthen and reset your body through Pilates.

The Semester includes:

  • 32 personal training sessions

    • Choose between 2 private Pilates sessions a week over 4 months - or 3 private Pilates sessions a week over 2.5 months (recommended)

  • A full-body reset and fresh movement foundation

    • By doing Pilates so often, we will reset your muscular balance and give you the tools to move with greater efficiency, ease and power

  • Booking flexibility

    • Sessions can be at different times each week, and you have two extra weeks built into the program in case you have an unexpected family matter

My goal with the program is pretty simple: I want you to actually feel what Pilates can do for your body in the long term. Fewer pulled muscles from picking up your grocery bag. Less strained glutes after your favorite hikes. You’ll know how to adjust your workouts based on what your body is telling you, and feel more movement freedom than ever before.

Is this just for Pilates?

Yes, we’ll do tons of Pilates, but we’ll also talk about all the other ways you train and move, and how Pilates can influence them. Weightlifting, running, chasing after your kids - I want to make sure you feel good whatever your preferred activities are.

This has been the best thing I’ve ever done for my body. Even though it was never about performance, it was amazing to see how much faster I am when I run - all because of Pilates.

I finally have answers to why I was feeling the way I was, and most importantly, now I know can do something about it. I can’t even express how valuable that is.

Why should I do The Semester?

The goal of the Semester isn’t to get better at Pilates; the goal is to apply the tools of Pilates and feel better in whatever it is you choose to do, whether that’s lifting massive weights or working in your garden.

You should do The Semester if:

  • You’ve been struggling to find a program or routine that makes you feel good - both physically and mentally - every time you do it. Chronically injured athletes, I’m looking at you.

  • You’re ready to make an investment now so that you can save money and time in the long run, and just start feeling better in your movement.

  • You want to ease pain and tension in your shoulders, back, neck, knees...

This is not the program if you are:

  • Fully convinced that a ‘good workout’ has to be painful

  • Trying to lose weight with Pilates

  • Looking for nutritional guidance

  • Unable to commit to two or three hours of Pilates per week

I told my husband it’s like you’re unwinding me... just to put me back together again.
