The Semester
Six months, twice a week. The signature program.
Most training programs address a symptom. The Semester looks at the system underneath it. You’ve already tried other things, and, sure, maybe it felt better. For a bit. But six months of working with the same teacher, on the same equipment, at the same time each week? It doesn’t sound like much until you realize how little time you’ve actually been given to figure out what works for your body. Not a textbook body. Your body. In your life.
Working with the system, not on a symptom
The Semester sessions are built to help you understand what your body is telling you, without adding to the stress of the day. The work builds strength, stamina, and mobility, resetting what feels “normal” in your body through Pilates.
This isn’t a weight-loss program or a 90-day challenge. It is designed to build a movement foundation you can return to, no matter where life takes you.
The Semester includes:
2 private Pilates sessions a week over 6 months (a total of 48 personal training sessions)
By doing Pilates so often, we will build muscular balance and give you the tools to move with greater efficiency, ease, and power
Built-in Flexibility
4 extra weeks to complete the program in case of travel or unexpected family matters
Option to train in-studio, on Zoom, or both
Something between a teacher and a coach
Six months is a real commitment. It also might be the first time since school you’ve had dedicated time to learn and build something just for you without other responsibilities interrupting. In this kind of training dynamic, you get something between a teacher and a coach. You don’t have to announce why tomorrow’s meeting is going to be extra stressful and you need to let out some extra steam, or remind anyone that today was your dad’s check-up so you barely slept last night. She adjusts before you say a word.
Our goal is simple: to truly give you the full range of benefits Pilates provides. Fewer pulled muscles picking up the grocery bag or kettlebell. More energy after a long hike. A clearer mind in your 16:00 meeting. You’ll know how to read what your body is telling you and what to do about it so you can spend more time enjoying movement instead of managing it.
Pilates was never just for Pilates
Pilates is the method. How you lift, run, carry your kids, or recover from a brutal work week is the context of your movement outside the studio. The Semester uses the method to make you feel stronger and at ease in your life.
Is this the right fit?
You should do The Semester if:
You’ve been struggling to find a program or routine that makes you feel good - both physically and mentally - every time you do it. (Chronically injured athletes, I’m looking at you, too.)
You’re ready to commit to understanding your body, not just putting out painful fires
You want to ease pain and tension in your shoulders, back, neck, knees...
This is not the program if you are:
Fully convinced that a ‘good workout’ has to be painful
Trying to lose weight solely with Pilates
Unable to commit to two hours of Pilates per week
Give yourself a good surprise
Most clients notice the shift around three months. It’s never dramatic, although it feels monumental. A busy Tuesday morning when you quickly pick something off the floor and then remember hours later you didn’t brace like you have for years. Or playing soccer with the family and realizing you’re not huffing and puffing like last summer. Or wondering how you broke a Strava PR even though it was just a chill Sunday ride with friends.
That’s what The Semester is for.
“I finally have answers to why I was feeling the way I was, and most importantly, now I know I can do something about it. I can’t even express how valuable that is. ”
“This has been the best thing I’ve ever done for my body. Even though it was never about performance, it was amazing to see how much faster I am when I run - all because of Pilates.”
Where and when?
Sessions are held in the studio in Thalwil or online via Zoom. You will have fixed times to give you a routine.
How much does The Semester cost?

The Semester is an upfront commitment by design. This is about learning how to build stability just for you, even if life tries to pull you in 10 different directions.

If the studio was unexpectedly closed, your program deadline would be extended.
